Budget hotel chain Travelodge has appointed Claire Good as its new
chief operating officer, a role she has held on an interim basis
since January. Good will be the first woman to hold the position.
Good
has twenty years’ experience in leading customer and commercial transformation
programmes across consumer-facing businesses.
Having joined Travelodge in
2016 as head of central operations, Good later moved to the role of director of
central operations, leading a company-wide productivity programme including
strategy development and contingency planning, as well as leading the hotel’s
operational change programme. Over the last year in particular, Good has played
a key role leading the company’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. She has also overseen the automation of
Travelodge’s operational model, with the introduction of a mobile-first programme.
Good previously worked for Heathrow Airport Holdings and mobile operator ee.
Craig Bonnar, Travelodge chief executive, said:
"Claire has played an instrumental role in the group’s Covid response, and
with her strong skillset and passion for hospitality, she is the ideal choice
to continue leading our operations."
