Finnair has appointed Jussi Siitonen as chief financial officer, effective 1 November.
Siitonen joins the Finnish carrier from Fiskars Group, owner of design-driven brands including Royal Copenhagen, Waterford and Wedgwood, where he has served as CFO and deputy to the CEO since 2021. He also has served on Finnair’s board of directors since 2024 but has resigned from this position to take up the CFO role.
Based in Helsinki, Siitonen succeeds outgoing CFO Pia Aaltonen-Forsell, who has resigned after a year as the carrier’s finance chief.
Commenting on the appointment, Finnair CEO Turkka Kuusisto said: "Jussi has long and diverse experience in consumer business and complements Finnair's strong management team in an excellent way. We have high ambitions and are implementing our strategy at full speed. Through his role on Finnair’s board, Jussi has a thorough understanding of our strategy and industry, which creates a strong foundation for rapid value creation in the key role of CFO.”
