Spain is relaxing its rules on unvaccinated travellers from non-EU nations, including the UK, to allow them to visit the country.
In the latest change to Spain’s Covid-19 entry rules, non-EU travellers who have not been vaccinated against the virus will be allowed entry, provided they can provide evidence of a negative PCR or lateral flow test on arrival in the country. The amended rules came into force on 21 May.
Vaccinated travellers from so-called “third countries”, such as the UK, will continue to have to provide proof of vaccination or recovery from the virus to enter Spain.
The latest move by the Spanish government means that its Covid entry rules are now aligned with those visiting from EU or Schengen area countries.
Last week, Spain extended its Covid entry rules for another month to 15 June after they had been due to expire on 15 May. This has now been amended to take into account the latest changes.
