American Express and ALL Accor, the booking platform and loyalty programme for French hospitality giant Accor, have formed a new global partnership that introduces elite status matching and a new Membership Rewards points transfer option for eligible Amex card members, the companies announced.
The partnership will roll out in phases throughout 2026 across Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, the UK and New Zealand.
Amex corporate card members enrolled in the Membership Rewards programme, where it's enabled by their company, will be eligible to transfer Membership Rewards points to ALL Accor, according to an Accor spokesperson. Point conversion ratios vary by location.
Additionally, Amex Corporate Platinum Card members will be eligible for ALL Accor Gold status, which includes free wifi, welcome amenities, late check-out, complimentary room upgrades and bonus ALL Accor points.
In a separate update last week, Accor announced it had signed a “definitive binding agreement” to sell its 30.7 per cent stake in Essendi to Blackstone and Colony Investment Management for up to €975 million. After first announcing the deal in April, the hospitality giant said the transaction is now expected to close in the last quarter of the year. Accor will receive €675 million on closing, plus an earn-out of up to €300 million.
As part of the deal, hotels in the Essendi portfolio will be gradually converted to franchise contracts. All properties will remain under Accor brands, with the new franchise agreements set to run for an average of 20 years.
