Corporate Travel Management on Friday (24 July) confirmed Ana Pedersen as managing director and group chief executive officer, after she served as acting group CEO since February 2026.
Pedersen, who first joined CTM as global chief commercial officer in 2024, takes the reins at a particularly difficult time, as the TMC continues to grapple with financial problems linked to an overcharging scandal. She was appointed acting CEO after founder and former managing director Jamie Pherous stepped down earlier this year following the company’s disclosure that it had overcharged UK customers, including the UK government, by £128 million.
The embattled TMC last month also confirmed that its accounting problems had affected clients in Australia and New Zealand dating back to 2019. The issue is expected to reduce its 2024 revenue by between AU$10 million and AU$15 million (between €6.1 million and €9.2 million). Last week, the company also admitted to underpaying staff in Australia and New Zealand by some AU$2.39 million.
Commenting on Pedersen’s permanent appointment, CTM chairman Ewen Crouch said: "Since stepping into the role of acting group CEO, Ana has provided steady and considered leadership during what has been a particularly challenging period for CTM.
She has navigated difficult and complex circumstances with professionalism and composure, maintaining focus on client delivery and supporting the interests of our people. The Board is confident that Ana is the right person to lead CTM through its current challenges and position the company for long-term success," he said in a statement.
Pedersen added: "I am pleased to continue leading CTM, and our focus is on advancing our priorities with discipline and clarity, while working toward fair and timely outcomes for those affected… We know there is more to do, and we are doing everything we can to make meaningful progress.”
