Italy-based travel management company BizAway has acquired Dutch TMC Uniglobe Alliance Travel for an undisclosed sum, the companies announced on Thursday (16 July).
Backed by Mayfair Equity Partners, the deal will see Uniglobe Alliance Travel continue operating under its existing brand as part of BizAway Group and within the Uniglobe Travel network until the end of this year, ensuring “full continuity for clients, suppliers and employees”.
Byron Bentley, Uniglobe Alliance Travel’s commercial director for the Netherlands, will remain in his role, and “there will be no changes to client contracts, service agreements or day-to-day operations”, BizAway said in a statement.
Founded in 2006, Uniglobe Alliance Travel operates five offices in the Netherlands: in Rotterdam, Arnhem, Goes, Almere and Alkmaar.
The acquisition comes as BizAway – ranked as the seventh largest TMC in Italy and among Europe’s top 50 according to BTN Europe’s Leading TMCs 2026 report – seeks to expand internationally following its acquisition of Spanish TMC Aervio last April.
“We have been looking for the right partner in the Benelux region for some time, and in Alliance Travel we have found exactly that,” BizAway CEO Luca Carlucci said in a statement.
“[Alliance Travel] have built something genuinely impressive: a loyal client base, a skilled and dedicated team, and a reputation for quality service. Our ambition is to keep building on that foundation,” Carlucci said.
