HOTELZON'S JULIET PRICE will take the reigns as chair of the Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA) from January 2011.
The head of marketing and business intelligence said she expects the UK's business travel market to "continue to turn a corner" in 2011.
Price said: "We are gearing up for the UK being on the global stage as a tourism and business travel destination with the royal wedding, Diamond Jubilee and of course the 2012 Olympic Games."
She also praised the HBAA for its "tireless work" on promoting best practices and advising on government legislation.
Price will replace Stephen Usher, managing director of House of Usher, who will remain on HBAA's 14-strong executive board as treasurer. The role of vice chair has gone to Chris Peacock from Conference Care, while the executive director is Peter Ducker, CEO of the hotel carbon indexing company Carepar.
