Virgin Atlantic’s new CEO Corneel Koster has revealed the company’s leadership team after taking the reins of the UK airline.
Koster replaced Virgin’s previous CEO Shai Weiss on 1 January in a move that had been originally announced in October. Koster has been promoted from his former role as the carrier’s chief customer and operating officer.
Virgin Atlantic’s refreshed management line-up includes internal promotions for Suzanne Roddie who becomes chief operating officer and Juha Jaervinen as chief customer officer.
Becky Woodmansee, who joined the airline 15 months ago, is chief people officer, while Dave Geer takes up the role of chief commercial officer, with responsibility for revenue growth across the company and the transatlantic joint venture with Delta and Air France-KLM.
Other members of the top team include Ansar Hussain who is chief financial officer on an interim basis, while Holly Boyd-Boland is senior vice president for corporate development and legal affairs.
Virgin is also currently recruiting for a chief digital and information officer, who will be tasked with accelerating “innovation and alignment across the business”.
Koster said: “I’m incredibly proud and energised to be leading Virgin Atlantic into its next chapter. This airline has always been defined by its people - their red spirit, professionalism and unwavering care for our customers and for one another.
“I’m confident this leadership team brings together the experience, leadership qualities, innovative thinking and collaborative mindset needed to build a strong and exciting future for the airline we all love.”
