Neal Jones
Marriott International has unveiled a series of senior management changes, including the appointment of Neal Jones as the new president of the EMEA region.
UK-based Jones, who is currently chief operating officer for Europe and Africa and global leader for Design Hotels, has been promoted to head up the EMEA region with responsibility for more than 1,300 properties across nearly 80 countries.
He will replace Satya Anand in the EMEA president role when Anand becomes group president of US, Canada and CALA (Caribbean and Latin America) from 28 March.
Jones will also join Anand in serving on Marriott’s executive leadership team, with both reporting to Marriott president and CEO Anthony Capuano.
“Today’s appointments position Marriott for our next chapter of growth,” said Capuano. “Satya brings a powerful combination of operational depth, financial discipline, and design expertise to a unified regional structure, which will sharpen how we execute and elevate outcomes for our associates, guests and owners.
“Neal has been a driving force behind EMEA’s commercial performance and brand development, and I know he will build on that momentum with a laser focus on innovation and owner relationships.”
Other senior management changes by Marriott include the retirement of Liam Brown, group president, US and Canada, and Brian King, president of enterprise transformation and CALA.
Both Brown and King will “step down from their roles at the end of March and retire from the company at the end of June 2026 after decades of extraordinary service,” according to a Marriott statement.
Federico Greppi, who is currently CALA chief operating officer, will also assume the role of president of that region for Marriott.
