Karelle Lamouche
Hotel giant Accor has promoted Karelle Lamouche to the position of CEO for Europe and North Africa covering its premium, midscale and economy brands.
Lamouche, who has been with the France-based company for nearly 30 years, moves up from her previous role of chief operating officer for Europe and North Africa.
In her new position, Lamouche will have responsibility for 3,000 hotels across the region, which represent around 40 per cent of Accor’s total rooms globally.
Jean-Jacques Morin, group deputy CEO of Accor, said: “Karelle brings deep leadership experience spanning all aspects of our business, from hotel operations to commercial strategy including brands, loyalty, distribution and marketing.
“Her ability to help owners optimise their return on investment while delighting guests makes her ideally positioned to take this role.”
Lamouche first joined Accor in 1998 and spent time as a hotel general manager before moving into country and global leadership roles.
“This region is the world’s number one travel destination but is made up of a huge number of markets, languages and cultures,” she said.
“Accor understands how to thrive in this complex market better than anyone else and we have the expertise, scale, brands, distribution, system delivery and operational excellence to deliver results for our hotel owner partners and retain loyal guests.”
Patrick Mendes was previously Accor’s CEO for Europe and North Africa between 2023 and May 2025.
