Indian airline Vistara is to double frequencies on its routes from Delhi to both Frankfurt and Paris Charles de Gaulle airports.
The carrier, which is a joint venture between Singapore Airlines and Indian conglomerate Tata, is due to receive its third Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft which will allow it to further expand European operations.
Vistara will increase its Delhi-Frankfurt route from three flights per week to six weekly services from 30 October. The Delhi-Paris service will also increase from two flights per week to five weekly frequencies from the same date.
Deepak Rajawat, Vistara’s chief commercial officer, said: “Europe has been a key focus market for us since the very beginning, and we are glad that our customers appreciate our offerings on these long-haul routes.
“We have been wanting to ramp up frequencies on these sectors and we are delighted to be able to finally do that.”
Vistara added frequencies on its Delhi-Heathrow route in May 2022, as well as turning its Mumbai-Singapore into a daily service.
The airline’s Boeing 787-9 features a three-class configuration with business, premium economy and economy cabins. Vistara’s new aircraft will also feature fully-flat business class seats with direct aisle access, plus a separate premium economy cabin.
