LUFTHANSA is beginning to get its act together with regard to the recent acquisition of Swiss. A broader range of services and new customer benefits will come into effect with the coming winter schedules. All services between Switzerland and Germany will be operated as code share flights from the start of the new schedules on 30 October and the two airlines” timetables have been harmonised in order to provide a coordinated and complementary range of services at the Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich hubs. The home carrier will host check-in desks and departure gates at the hub airports. In Frankfurt, Swiss will be accommodated in Terminal 1; and in Munich the airline will use Terminal 2. In Zurich, Lufthansa (and Austrian Airlines) passengers will be served at Check-in 1 and Check-in 3, and their aircraft will use Pier A wherever possible.
