Israel has announced new requirements for arrivals from Saturday, 23 January 2021. The country’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that anyone boarding a flight to the country must present their airline with confirmation of a negative PCR coronavirus test that had been carried out during the 72 hours prior to take-off or, alternatively, confirmation of having been vaccinated or having recovered from Covid.
The rules will apply to travellers who have been outside Israel for 72 hours or more, except for special permits that have been individually approved, and to air crew members who will be in Israel for 72 hours or more.
The government also extended its general lockdown by an additional ten days until Sunday, 31 January 2021.
