The UK’s Civil
Aviation Authority has issued 630 fines since February to airlines who have carried passengers since 11 February without the correct documentation.
The fines
have been issued to the carriers where passengers do not have proof of their
Covid test status or have not completed a passenger locator form.
Airlines
can also be fined up to £4,000 for failing to provide passengers with the correct
information and up to £2,000 for conveying passengers from a red-list country
to an airport that has not been designated to handle such passengers by the
government.
The UK’s Border Force is
currently checking every individual coming into the country, no matter where
they have come from, leading to long queues at airports.
