Jazeera
Airways is to launch direct services between London Heathrow and Kuwait on 18
June.
Initially
the airline will operate flights every Friday but plans to increase the
frequency as travel restrictions ease. Flight J9 005 leaves Kuwait at 9.40am,
arriving in London at 2.15pm; flight J9 006 departs from London at 3.15pm,
arriving in Kuwait at 11.30pm.
The
service, operated using Airbus A320neo aircraft, offers three classes of seat
with a range of seat pitches from 31 to 36 inches. Economy class fares on the
route start from £802 return.

Airways’ CEO, Rohit Ramachandran, said: “Our new service to Heathrow Airport
enables Jazeera Airways to cater to popular demand for flights to and from
London, including demand from business travellers, Kuwaiti students and the
large segment of accustomed tourists who we believe are more than eager to
return to London this summer, many of whom own homes in the area.
“As
the vaccinations against the Covid-19 virus roll out in Kuwait and across the
world, countries are opening their borders for a gradual return of summer
traffic. Jazeera Airways’ pilots and cabin crew have already been fully
vaccinated, and we continue to mandate strict safety measures in all our
facilities.”
Currently,
only fully vaccinated Kuwaitis can travel into and out of Kuwait. A widening of
entry permissions to Kuwait, to include all UK originating passengers who have
been fully vaccinated, is under consideration, the airline said.
