Long term agreement over agents' payments
A long term deal for Pegasus Solutions to handle payment to agents for hotel bookings has been signed by Marriott International.
The agreement between the worldwide hotel chain and the IT company, which has already lasted 12 years, will now be extended until 2014.
Under the agreement, the payments will be handled by Pegasus's Global Commission Processing service which is used by 60,000 agents worldwide.
Pegasus said the system offered payments to agents in 37 currencies on a weekly basis.
Julius Robinson, Marriott's vp for global sales intermediaries, said if the chain could help agents to receive professional guidance and prompt payment, they in turn would become valuable partners.
He added: "Our 12 year ongoing relationship with Pegasus Solutions demonstrates our total faith in ensuring agents have access to a first-rate and highly effective payments service."
