UK-based travel management company Clarity has launched a new apprenticeship programme, with 10 participants starting this week across its offices in Manchester, Edinburgh, East Kilbride and Derby.
Developed by the TMC’s internal learning and development team, programme – known as Clarity Aspire – combines onboarding, mentoring, coaching, accredited learning and “regular wellbeing check-ins”, the company said.
The latest cohort of apprentices will take on entry-level finance and business travel consultant roles, according to the TMC, with a “structured pathway” for professional development.
Clarity, which has supported apprenticeships since 2014, said the programme “represents the next evolution of our approach”.
“Following Covid and a period of significant change and acquisitions across the business, we didn’t want to simply relaunch an apprenticeship programme for the sake of it,” said Neil Wainwright-Farrar, Clarity’s head of apprenticeships and early careers, who is leading the programme.
“Clarity Aspire gave us the opportunity to regroup, refocus and build something that puts the apprentice experience at the heart of the programme. … The timing now felt right to invest in the next generation of talent and create a programme with real purpose and longevity.”
Clarity has supported 73 apprentices since 2014, 51 of whom remain with the business. Including the 2026 cohort, 32 apprentices are currently studying while working at the TMC, which is ranked as the eighth largest travel management company is Europe, and the fifth largest in the UK.
Clarity CEO Pat Mcdonagh added: “Prioritising apprenticeships is a point of differentiation for us and hopefully something that many more will benefit from in the future.”
