Starwood hotels' Wbrand is to launch in India with the opening of the W Mumbai by 2015. The property will be part of the 55-storey Namaste Tower, overlooking the Mahalaxmi racecourse. The tower will be shaped like clasped hands and is expected to be a new landmark in the city. The hotel will have more than 350 rooms, including three suites and two restaurants, as well as a 'destination' bar. Starwood said Delhi, Goa and Kerala were targets for future W Hotels and Retreats developments in India.
