MERIDIAN GLOBAL SERVICES has introduced a new expense management system which analyses receipts to see if there is VAT to be reclaimed. The compliance and consulting company says its Expenseflo system can cut total travel bills by up to six per cent.
Expense claims can be submitted online, and receipts are then checked for accuracy and compliance, and for potential VAT reclaims, before online approval.
Meridian commercial director Adam Smith said: "To gain full visibility and achieve maximum savings, it is vital to follow up by auditing the receipts and then recovering the VAT."
