A CORPORATE LAW FIRM claims to have shaved £1 million from its £3m annual rail bill after implementing an online booking tool.
London-based Eversheds recently appointed independent travel management company Reed & Mackay and now uses an Evolvi rail-booking tool and KDS air and hotel booking technology. Company bosses said that over 12 months, from May, the average price of a rail ticket fell from £100 to £55.
Elaine Winterbottom, Eversheds' head of strategy, property and facilities, said year-on-year transactions had rocketed, while adoption was almost company-wide.
She said: "We spoke to other law firms and interviewed many travel management companies. It was obvious from the outset that Reed & Mackay really understood our business culture - and were able to prove they had the technical capability to apportion costs correctly to many thousands of distinct case numbers."
