THE INSTITUTE OF TRAVEL & MEETINGS (ITM) is changing both the date and format of next year's conference. The event, which is being staged at London's Chelsea Football Club, will be later than usual - May 12 and 13 - and is being condensed from three to two days.
"The revised format will offer more value for money for both delegates and sponsors," says Diane Steed, ITM's head of sales and marketing. The later date will ensure the whole venue, including the pitch, is available for use by the institute and that the planned format changes are properly implemented. The new two day format will mean less time away from the office for delegates, but with a broader content offering, and re-focused session format across up to seven different streams. It is hoped to draw Jeremy Paxman back to kick-off the conference with a series of keynote industry interviews.
