HOTELS THAT OFFER 'FREE' PARKING, breakfast and wifiaccess will win more repeat business than those that charge separately, according to the latest US customer survey from consultants JD Power & Associates.
"Hotel guests want the comforts of home at a competitive rate - they don't want to incur fees for 'extras'," says Michael Drago, JD Power's director of global hospitality and travel practice. "Hoteliers know that providing extraordinary guest service in a consistent manner, in both good times and bad, is a recipe for continued success."
Top of JD Power's Guest Satisfaction Index Study rankings in the luxury sector was Four Seasons, with Embassy Suites topping the 'upscale' league for the third consecutive year.
Hilton Garden Inn and Drury Inn & Suites came top in the mid-scale segments, Staybridge Suites was deemed best extended-stay brand, and Microtel Inns & Suites heads the economy/budget rankings. Results are based on responses from more than 66,000 US hotel guests.
