A national strike has led to the cancellation of all flights from Athens International airport today (May 5).
The strike of Air traffic control staff in Greece means Aegean Airlines and Olympic Airlines have cancelled nearly all of their flights today.
EasyJet has cancelled all its flights departing today from Athens.
Trains and ferries have also been suspended until tomorrow, as transport workers joined public sector staff in a 48-hour walkout that began yesterday.
The general strike is in protest against harsh new spending cuts imposed by the government in a bid to save the country from bankruptcy.
