The US Department of Transportation has warned global distribution systems (GDSs) and online travel agencies not to hide or bias the display of air fares. Although no companies were named in the letter, the message was aimed at Sabre and Travelport, which have been locked in an ongoing dispute with American Airlines.
The DoT said that recent reported actions by GDSs were "unfair and deceptive practices" and violated US business code.
