Germany's second largest airline is set to start flights between Stansted and Salzburg from December 2.
The destination is the sixth served directly from the UK, and the only outside Germany.
An Airbus A319 will be used on the route, with capacity for 144 passengers.
Flights will leave Stansted at 2.10pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, arriving into Salzburg at 12.30pm.
As the routes is likely to be most popular for passengers heading to Austria for winter sports, the airline plans to stop flying to Salzburg from March 31, 2011.
