A NEW PAN-EUROPEAN training programme for travel bookers, designed to help them cope in an increasingly demanding marketplace, has been launched by Egencia, the corporate travel division of Expedia.
The Egencia Travel Academy will focus on areas such as air, rail, hotel, travel technology and traveller management. Bookers will be trained and assessed for continuous improvement, encouraging them to think beyond today's standards.
"We recognise that the way in which travel is booked is evolving and changing," says Christophe Pingard, senior vice president and managing director of Egencia Europe. "As online adoption increases, travel bookers need to be more and more knowledgeable about the deals, prices and options available to the corporate market. The Travel Academy and the courses we offer reflect these changes and provide bookers with the materials and know-how to raise the bar and increase their skills."
