Budget hotel chain Travelodge has announced a new direct integration with hotel tech specialist HotelHub to allow travel management companies more access to its inventory.
Travelodge, which has more than 630 hotels in the UK, Ireland and Spain, said the deal with HotelHub will give TMCs access to its full room inventory across both online and offline points of sale.
In a statement, the two companies said the integration would provide more rooms, rates and enhanced content, as well as allowing TMCs to cancel and amend bookings directly. They added that Travelodge’s content would be available through “all leading OBTs and any proprietary booking platforms”.
Nick Jacobs, Travelodge’s sales director, added: “Our partnership with HotelHub means we can significantly extend our reach to even more TMCs, providing our business customers with an even better experience and greater choice of options.
“Connecting with HotelHub’s management tool, we can ensure that TMCs see the latest and most up-to-date content across our wide hotel estate, providing a smoother and easier experience.”
Paul Raymond, HotelHub’s chief commercial officer, said that the integration with Travelodge was an “exciting development for our customers”.
“The direct connection will give our TMC partners greater autonomy to manage their hotel strategies the way they want and we believe that it will pave the way for further developments in the future,” said Raymond.
London-based HotelHub was acquired by French corporate travel group S4BT, owner of hotel booking and payments platform CDS Groupe, in February. HotelHub already works with travel companies such as Flight Centre Travel Group and Booking.com, as well as being integrated with SAP Concur’s Hotel Connector.
Earlier this month, one of Travelodge’s key rivals in the budget accommodation sector, Premier Inn, announced a direct connection with corporate travel platform Spotnana.
