Hotel technology provider HotelHub is to increase its inventory of properties and rates through a deal to access content from Booking Holdings’ brands of online travel agencies.
HotelHub, which supplies a platform to TMCs and an online booking tool, has announced an agreement with Priceline’s strategic partnership division, which will allow it to add “significant” content and rates from Booking Holdings’ online agencies, including Booking.com, Agoda and Priceline itself.
Following the agreement, TMCs using HotelHub’s platform will be able to utilise “pay now and pay later” rates from all Booking Holdings brands. They can also access both B2B and B2C rates “when applicable”.
In another move, HotelHub will target small and midsized TMCs through the creation of a new white label booking platform offering them hotel content and rates, which will be “powered” by Priceline. This platform is currently “in development” and is set to be launched later this year.
Eric Meierhans, chief commercial officer at HotelHub, said the deal with Priceline was a “significant development” as it provided more hotel content, rates and booking channels.
Laura Wittig, director of global partnerships at Priceline Partner Network, added: “This partnership will enable us to build a foundation to service global TMCs by providing them with cutting edge technology via our API, market leading supply and highly competitive pricing.”
Wittig said Priceline also intended to become a “one stop shop” for small and midsized TMCs around the world.
