Travel technology companies Element and Zenmer have
announced the launch of Travel Radar, a new module for the Zenmer corporate
booking platform that provides TMCs with the latest information on client
policies and processes when making bookings offline or through the booking
tool.
According to Element, the permission-based application
enables TMCs to configure and manage their clients’ policies and ensure that
travel consultants can access the correct information and booking capability.
Details provided through Travel Radar include the client company’s policy on
travel to the desired destination, the company’s restrictions around the
destination for the employee to travel and the status of border restrictions,
quarantine periods, health documents and other Covid-19 guidelines.
TMCs can configure the policy for each client around the
allowed countries, cities, airlines, hotels and other aspects. Zenmer said the
tool allows real-time management of corporate policy, reducing costs to the
business and giving consultants the confidence to deliver service with accurate
information.
Nikunj Agrawal, CEO of Zenmer, said: “Due to the unique
travel restrictions imposed by each country during this global pandemic, TMCs
need immediate access to trusted information. Currently, the correct
information is difficult to access and usually found by searching through
lengthy online resources. Fact-checking and dependency on human interpretation
increases financial and reputational risks for the TMC.”
Gavin Smith, director at Element, added: “TMCs have really
shown their value over this challenging period. Helping them to support their
clients’ ‘return to travel’ policy and process was key to our thinking in
developing this solution.”
Element has exclusive reseller rights to Travel Radar across
the UK and Europe and will also support Zenmer with TMCs that directly approach
them. The tool is available to companies in any country. Element partnered with India-based Zenmer earlier this year to offer its booking tool to TMCs and corporates worldwide.
