James Parkhouse
Travel management company Take2Eton has confirmed that James Parkhouse has left his role as CEO and will be replaced by co-founder Chris Thelen.
Former Agiito boss Parkhouse, who took over as Take2Eton’s CEO in November 2024, left the TMC two weeks ago.
“After many weeks of careful and considered discussions, it was mutually agreed that James Parkhouse would step down from his role as CEO at the end of January 2026,” said Take2Eton in a statement. “This decision reflects a shared view that the next phase of the business is best served by him pursuing other ventures.”
The UK-based TMC also confirmed that the group’s chairman Thelen, who set up Take Two with Julie Cope in 2021, would return to the CEO role, which he held prior to Parkhouse’s appointment in late 2024.
Chris Thelen
Take2Eton Group was formed following Take Two’s acquisition of fellow TMC Eton Travel Group in early 2022. The company was ranked as the 21st largest TMC in the UK in 2025.
Take2Eton added that Thelen, alongside the senior management team, would “continue to provide strong executive leadership, clear oversight and direction as Take2Eton enters an exciting phase in the evolution of the business".
Parkhouse had been CEO of Agiito – and Capita Travel & Events in its previous guise – for more than 15 years before leaving the TMC in April 2023.
