Virgin Atlantic has appointed Richard McCord as chief financial officer, effective 5 October, the carrier announced on Thursday (3 September).
McCord joins from London Luton Airport, where he has served as CFO since 2021. He previously held roles at energy and services company Centrica and at PwC.
In the role, McCord will oversee finance, treasury, procurement and fleet, insurance and internal audit, according to Virgin Atlantic.
Ansar Hussain, formerly vice president of corporate finance and group treasurer, had served as interim CFO since 1 January. He has been promoted to senior vice president in the finance division, according to Virgin Atlantic.
