Travel management company Clarity and risk management
specialist International Location Safety (ILS) have partnered to provide
Covid-19 risk assessments for travellers and travel managers.
To obtain a risk assessment, travellers or their travel
manager complete an online questionnaire regarding the prospective trip and the
traveller’s health circumstances. The resulting assessment from an ILS risk
advisor includes a personalised Covid Threat Assessment rating and advisory
brief for use in travel risk approval – which is now an integrated feature in
Clarity’s online booking tool, Go2Book – and pre-travel preparation.
Ratings in the assessment are comprised of three categories:
public health threat in destination, traveller vulnerability and trip-specific
risks. An overall risk rating and level is provided to facilitate
decision-making in the travel approval process, while the additional advisory
information gives further relevant considerations regarding the destination,
activity, or individual, according to Clarity.
The service is available to all Clarity clients on a
pay-as-you-go basis, with additional options of bundled subscriptions and
on-account invoicing also available, the TMC said.
In addition to the risk assessments, Clarity and ILS have
also partnered to provide online and on-site training, consultancy and further
risk advisory.
The partnership comes after Clarity conducted a poll of travel managers which found two-thirds were considering introducing risk assessments to their programmes in order to facilitate a return to travel. The TMC has introduced a number of new features to its platform in recent weeks, including ATPCO Routehappy's Reassurance Universal Product Attributes (UPAs), which display standardised information on around 100 airlines' Covid-related safety procedures, such as clean air circulation, flexible booking options and enhanced cabin cleaning.
