Britain”s first exclusively business class airline, Silverjet plc, is all ready to take off on Thursday 25 January. In a statement to the London Stock Exchange the newly created carrier, the subject of a ”25.3m ($44.3m) IPO earlier this year, has confirmed the date for the introduction of services from Luton to Newark - the north London airport to the New York operation across the Hudson River from New Jersey.
In its note Silverjet reminds investors that it now has three Boeing 767s secured and has acquired Flyjet Ltd and Skylease Ltd, providing the Silverjet group with an air operator's certificate, operating licence and worldwide route licence.
