Amsterdam Schiphol Airport has opened its largest lounge for passengers who subscribe to its Privium Members Club loyalty programme.
ClubLounge South is located in Schiphol’s Lounge 1, close to B and C gates, as well as the forthcoming Pier A gates, and can be used by Privium Plus members flying to destinations in the Schengen Area.
The new 800-square-metre lounge, which becomes the fourth Privium lounge at Schiphol, has space for up to 125 passengers and features amenities including workspaces, meeting areas, food and drink, and shower facilities.
Schiphol also plans to add an “exclusive” security lane leading directly to the lounge later this year to allow Privium members to move through the airport “more quickly”.
Franc Vink, head of Schiphol Premium Services, said: “When developing ClubLounge South, we focused not only on creating more space, but above all on how we could make that time as comfortable and productive as possible.
“This makes the lounge a valuable addition to the Privium offering at Schiphol. It feels especially meaningful to open this lounge in the year that Privium celebrates its 25th anniversary.”
Privium charges an annual membership fee, which ranges from €190 (Privium Basic) to €370 (Privium Plus) per year, for services such as lounge access, priority lanes through security checkpoints, fast-track border facilities, as well as parking and check-in privileges. Non-members can also access lounges by purchasing a voucher from €45 per person.
