Heathrow's Holiday Inn M4J4 hotel has completed a two-year overhaul.
The hotel, located near junction 4 of the M4 motorway, was redecorated to bring it in line with the brand standards of the Holiday Inn portfolio, as part of a global rebranding.
The £3.5 million investment saw the hotel get a new design and lighting in the lobby, as well as a new signature fragrance and soundtrack.
Other updates include adding the new Holiday Inn logo to the hotel's signage, and new carpet, beds, shower curtains and pillows for the bedrooms.
Will Morris, Holiday Inn's UK managing director of Holiday Inn, said: "During the past two years it has been great to see the hotels refreshed to a new high standard, elevating and strengthening our offer.
"Seeing the finishing touches added to the final hotel is a great celebration of all the hard work and effort that has been invested into the project."
The overhaul of the Heathrow property is part of a $1 billion global relaunch of the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands, which Morris said is yielding "great results".
"Heathrow M4J4 is a great example of how investing in a brand can really move individual hotels forward," he said, "from the fresh, inviting new bedrooms to the fantastic Academy conference and events centre."
The Academy centre can cater for 10 to 130 delegates, with which the hotel is hoping to attract more meeting and conference guests.
The hotel also has two restaurants - the buffet and carvery style Rotisserie and the Asian Sampans - and a pub, Callaghans.
The first phase of a second Holiday Inn hotel has also recently opened at Heathrow airport, near T5.
The Holiday Inn Express London - Heathrow T5 is a new-build property, which when complete in Spring next year will be the largest under the brand in Europe.
