Hotel aimed at "modern" corporate travellers
Hilton Hotels Corporation (HHC) has unveiled its new Denizen "global lifestyle" brand.
HHC said the new brand will cater to "modern travellers" and target "international social epicentres" such as Abu Dhabi, Beverly Hills, Cancun, Istanbul, Jerusalem, London, Mumbai and Washington D.C.
"Active development negotiations are currently underway for resorts and destinations in key cities throughout the globe," the hotel group said.
Other prospective cities include Austin, Buenos Aires, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Los Cabos, Miami, Montreal and Panama City.
Christopher Nassetta, HHC's president and ceo, said Denizon would create "an international intersection between business and pleasure" guests.
"While we continue to operate in a challenging macroeconomic environment, the addition of Denizen Hotels demonstrates our commitment to continuing to invest in our long-term growth," he said.
The new brand adds to HHC's luxury portfolio, which includes the Waldorf Astoria, the Waldorf Astoria Collection and Conrad Hotels & Resorts.
Denizen will be the second brand to be launched by HHC this year. The midmarket Home2 Suites by Hilton was announced in January.
