Aparthotel group City ID has continued its expansion in Europe by acquiring a new property in Dublin.
Amsterdam-based City ID said that purchase of the Capel Street property in Dublin was part of its goal to invest more than €1 billion over the next five years on new properties in major European cities.
The owner-operator brand already has three hotels in central Amsterdam as well as securing a property in London’s Victoria district, which is expected to open its doors in 2024.
The Dublin property will feature 104 apartments with kitchens and living spaces. The ground floor area will feature a lobby, deli, bar and wellness area. City ID has yet to reveal a planned opening date for the apartment hotel.
Alexander Goad, CEO of City ID, said: “We love Dublin. It provides a wonderful chance for our group to express our vision of creating an urban oasis for our guests and the local community.
“With this fantastic new City ID location on the historically rich Capel Street, we aim to inspire our guests to experience the local life both inside and outside of the hotel. We’re thrilled that, with this fifth landmark in our portfolio, we continue our journey of building our platform across major European cities.”
City ID is backed by two pension providers: APG from the Netherlands and Australia’s Aware Super.
