SIMPLY STAYING AWAKE during some events can be quite a challenge. As the final innovation in its 'Think Tank' campaign, the Crowne Plaza chain has come up with the 'Think Space' capsule, designed to stimulate the user's mind, thus ensuring they are refreshed and productive for the remainder of the day - no more nodding off at meetings.
The brainchild of interior designer Gilian Schrofe, the air-filled, oval shaped capsule, suspended from a steel frame, is 'unzipped' to gain entry. Once inside, all of the user's five senses are said to be stimulated and they are treated to the waking equivalent of a power nap.
The first Think Space capsule made its debut at the end of last year at the Crowne Plaza Docklands. Others are being placed in selected hotels in Belgium, Germany and the Middle East.
