Hilton has announced a major expansion of its Spark brand of hotels in the UK, as well as announcing its first Tapestry Collection property in London.
The US hotel firm has signed a deal with AG Hotels Group to add 10 new Spark by Hilton properties in the UK between late 2026 and 2028.
Spark by Hilton is a premium economy “conversion” brand, which was launched in the US in 2023 and opened its first UK property in Romford in 2024. There are currently three Spark hotels in the UK.
The 10 new Spark properties will be located in Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Doncaster, Hull, Peterborough, Runcorn, Sunderland, Wakefield and Washington. The hotels will add a total of 672 rooms to the brand’s UK portfolio.

“With nearly 700 rooms in the pipeline, including the brand's first hotel in Wales, Spark continues to gain momentum as owners recognise the strength of its value proposition and its ability to meet the needs of today's travellers.”
Hilton has also announced the signing of the existing London Bridge Hotel to its Tapestry Collection by Hilton — the brand’s first property in the UK capital.
The 153-room property, next to London Bridge rail station, will undergo a £12 million renovation before reopening under the Tapestry brand in early 2028.
The Tapestry Collection of independent hotels will also be bolstered by the openings of properties in Plymouth and Cork in 2027.
