A LONDON VENUE is hoping to offset the weak dollar by offering UK companies with US offices to the pay dollar equivalent for sterling rates.
The Commonwealth Club, which provides "discreet" meeting facilities in eight rooms for between eight and 220 delegates, Launched the offer last month and has extended it for events booked during May. All meeting and events will be charged at the prevailing dollar rate on the day, thus providing meeting and event planners a substantial discount.
Located in Northumberland Avenue, just off Trafalgar Square, the venue is within walking distance of a number of US companies headquartered in the Strand, and is also convenient for City-based organisations.
The home of the Royal Commonwealth Society, it combines an elegant Regency exterior with contemporary European interior design. An impressive client list includes PricewaterhouseCoopers and the BBC.
