EASTERN AIRWAYS this month launches its first scheduled flights from Liverpool John Lennon, with three services each weekday to both Aberdeen and Southampton.
The carrier is also stepping up frequencies on its Aberdeen-Southampton route from two to five each weekday.
At the same time, Eastern is adding an early morning departure from Southampton to Newcastle, with an 07.00 departure replacing the 09.20 flight.
"We've responded to business traveller requirements as it was evident there was a gap in the market for early morning departures from Southampton to Newcastle," says Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways' chief operating officer. "Adjusting the timings allows our Southampton passengers to arrive in Newcastle city centre before 9am."
Originally set up to service the oil and gas sector, the Humberside-based airline now serves 14 UK airports, as well as two in Norway.
