FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON is to open four more Asia/Pacific properties this year - two in China, and one apiece in Malaysia and Vietnam, where the select-service brand is making its debut.
FAlready this year, Four Points properties have launched in Changshu and Hangzhou (right). A Beijing hotel opens its doors in July, while a Guangzhou property joins the portfolio in September. Later this year will see openings in Kuching, in Malaysia, and Halong Bay, in Vietnam.
Since the brand's introduction in 2000, new properties have been launched at a rate of only one a year. However, with 14 developments in the pipeline, Miguel Ko, Asia/Pacific president with Four Points parent Starwood, says the brand is going through a "growth spurt".
