FLYBE HAS COMPLETED the installation of 64 self-service check-in kiosks at 13 UK regional airports, from Aberdeen and Inverness in the north to Newquay in the south.
Southampton Airport, Flybe's largest base, now has 10 of the common-use compliant machines to support its 34-strong destinations, while Newquay with seven destinations) has two. The final units were delivered last month to Isle of Man Ronaldsway and Exeter Airports, Flybe's base.
"We are committed to getting the seven million passengers a year we carry through our airports in the UK and Europe as quickly and efficiently as possible," says Simon Utley, Flybe's director of marketing. "These machines minimise queuing and genuinely speed up the check-in process. Since the first kiosks went live in 2006, we have been pleased with the positive feedback we have had from passengers."
