THE WORLD’S BIGGEST HOSTED buyer programme will be launched at the Business Travel Show (BTS) in London next year. BTS said it plans to bring 1,200 senior travel and procurement managers from all over Europe for the two-day show on February 7-8.
Each would be in charge of an annual budget of more than £3 million and many would be visiting the show for the first time. With each buyer committed to at least four pre-scheduled meetings with suppliers, the programme drives a potential 6,000-plus additional meetings over the two days. The hosted buyers will receive free flights and accommodation, fast-track entry to the show and access to meetings booking technology.
“Buyers will find 200 exhibitors at the show – the most comprehensive range of suppliers under one roof in Europe,” said event director David Chapple. “We’ve also invested heavily in specialist technology that allows the match-making process to be buyer-driven, ensuring every meeting gives them maximum return on investment.”
He added: “Centaur Travel Group has invested heavily in the corporate travel market for the last 17 years, and the introduction of this programme is testament to our future long-term commitment to the market and to ensuring this show remains the leading event in Europe.”
