BRISTOL AIRPORT has opened a walkway connecting the terminal building to eight new pre-boarding zones. The work was part of a 12-month £8 million project to enable passengers to walk to and from aircraft, instead of being driven by bus.
The airport said it would help airlines to "better implement priority boarding", as well as reducing emissions from airport vehicles.
It will also mean arriving passengers will be able to walk undercover from their aircraft to the terminal building.
