A new tool giving travellers instant access to their travel itinerary was launched by Portman Travel today (June 22).
The Portman Trip Planner (PTP) was developed for the independent TMC by the Israeli IT company Truvle.
It is a web-based toll which gives travellers on the move access to information on their trip as and when they need it. This includes hotel, flight and restaurant reservations, meetings and other pr-booked appointments.
Launched at the Business Travel Market in London today, the PTP also gives access to additional information including weather, restaurants, maps, currency exchange rates and local events.
Adrian Parkes, Portman’s chief commercial officer, said: We are delighted to be able to partner Truvle and provide this unrivalled service to our clients.
“We look forward to rolling out the initiative and replacing the traditional email itinerary with the dynamic and interactive Portman Trip Planner.”
Alon Zaibert, Truvle’s ceo, said the new tool would empower the business traveller. “We believe that they will be quick to recognise the productivity and efficiency of this tool,” he added.
