Midoco Group has won the business of
more than 140 new clients for its profile automation solution Umbrella Faces
and mid-office system over the past 15 months, the tech provider has announced.
Client wins include EFR Travel Group, Easy Avenues and
Insight Booking Solutions in the UK, and ATG, Switzerland Travel Centre, TUI ltur,
Comtravo, STA Germany, TravelTrust, Österreichisches Verkehrsbüro and Rilex AG
in Europe.
The company says its profile system is now handling more
than 3.5 million profiles. The growing number of mid-office clients comes amid
a flurry of new regulatory changes - PSD-2, the Cash Security Regulation and
the E-Invoice Regulation – as well as changes to VAT regimes in the UK and
Germany.
Yvonne Rascan, Midoco’s director for implementation, international
customers, said: "The impossible has occurred, travel nearly came to a
complete halt - the pandemic has shown that companies, especially in times of
crisis, are dependent on technical solutions that ensure smooth and cost-saving
operations under challenging conditions, especially with reduced staff. The
reduced booking volume, whilst incredibly challenging for companies, has
actually freed up resources for the implementation of technical projects. When
travel picks up, this decision will pay off."
