Daniel Beauchamp is Amex GBT's vice president of global strategic meetings
American Express Global Business Travel on Friday (9 October) announced another change to its leadership team, appointing Daniel Beauchamp as vice president of global strategic meetings, a newly created role.
The appointment comes just days after the travel management company announced that Drew Crawley had succeeded Paul Abbott as CEO, following the completion last week of AI-focused investment firm Long Lake Management’s acquisition of Amex GBT.
In the new role, Beauchamp will lead both business operations and commercial strategy for the TMC’s strategic meetings business, the company said.
He will oversee new business growth, including the expansion of Amex GBT’s global footprint, and will work with teams across the company to ensure customers benefit "from a connected approach that aligns sales, account management and operations,” according to Amex GBT.
Beauchamp previously led Amex GBT’s global consulting and venue sourcing teams, where he launched several initiatives, including the Meetings & Events and Inclusive Travel practice lines.
He first joined Amex GBT in 2006 and held various managerial roles before moving to HRG as director of UK sales. HRG was later acquired by Amex GBT.
