Momentum is building behind Accelya’s NDC FastTrack programme as a growing number of travel management companies and distribution partners join the cross-industry initiative.
Accelya, a distribution and travel software provider, on Wednesday (19 November) confirmed that FCM Travel, CTM, Fox World Travel, Amadeus and Travelport have joined the initiative alongside founding members American Express Global Business Travel and Sabre.
The news comes after BCD Travel last week announced it too had joined the programme as part of its commitment to NDC and delivering “full functionality and choice for corporate travellers”.
“We’re pleased to see continued engagement in NDC FastTrack,” said Tye Radcliffe, chief customer success officer at Accelya. “The combined experience of these participants is helping the industry remove technical barriers and advance NDC adoption in ways that deliver tangible benefits for travel sellers, technology partners and corporate buyers.”
NDC FastTrack was launched in July to help drive the implementation of new distribution capability and modern retailing. It aims bring together providers, users and technology partners to share best practices that support scalable NDC adoption.
“As corporate travel continues to evolve, it’s clear that shared learning and open dialogue are key to progress,” said FCM Travel’s global chief experience officer John Morhous.
Erik Shor, chief partnership officer at CTM, added: “The NDC FastTrack initiative is refreshing and long overdue. It’s encouraging to see the TMC community’s collective voice and expertise finally leveraged to accelerate meaningful progress and real-world NDC adoption.”
