FCM Travel has appointed Martina Groenegres as its new managing director for Germany.
Groenegres joins the TMC with nearly 30 years of experience in the aviation and travel industry, having held various positions at Lufthansa Group and most recently serving as the managing director of Lufthansa City Center. She has also served as the chairwoman of APJC Germany for IATA, and held board memberships for SwissCham China and the German Chamber of Commerce in China.
Commenting on her new role, Groenegres said: “I’m eager to leverage my leadership skills to support [FCM’s] efforts, enhance service offerings to our customers and continue strengthening our position in the German market.”
FCM travel managing director for Europe Andy Helgley welcomed the appointment, adding: “Germany is of strategic importance to us and I’ve no doubt Martina will drive our business to bigger and better things – her extensive experience and knowledge globally is undeniable.
“She’s known in the industry for being a senior global travel leader with a breadth of management experience in all commercial disciplines including strategy, government relations, sales and services in the aviation, travel and transport industry,” he said.
